Google Search gets Dark Mode on Desktop

Google rolls out dark theme for Search on desktop: How to enable it now- Technology News, Firstpost

Google has finally started rolling out dark mode for Search on desktop after testing it for a while. Users will be able to use the dark theme while accessing the internet on their laptops or computers as a result of this. The news was announced on Google’s support page. It has been announced that the dark theme has begun to roll out to users and will be fully available in the coming weeks.

Dark, light, and device default will be the three options available.

In February, Google began experimenting with a dark layout for web search. It was first discovered in December of last year.

Hung F, Google’s product support manager, stated on the same support page, “I’m excited to inform that the Dark theme is now accessible for Google Search pages on desktop, starting today and rolling out over the coming several weeks. Thank you for all of your input on this topic, indicating that this was a feature you wanted to see!”

Dark, light, and device default will be the three options available. The device default option will use the default appearance of the computer or laptop.

The dark mode, which has a greyish-black tone, is also expected to be accessible for the Google homepage, search results page, and Search settings. Here’s how to make it work:

How to turn on the dark theme for Google Search on desktop

Step 1: Open Google Search in any web browser. You can type Google Search in the search bar

Step 2: Click on the Settings option placed in the top right corner

Step 3: Select the Search Settings option

Step 4: Then, click on the Appearance option

Step 5: There will be three aforementioned options to choose from. Select the desired option and select the Save option present at the bottom

First spotted by 9To5Google, there’s also an option to directly switch on the dark theme from the settings option too. It is currently available, but if you haven’t got it or the ability to enable dark mode, wait for some time.
