Motorola Edge S Review

Everything you need to know about this cost-effective phone

We haven’t seen a strong smartphone like the Motorola Edge S since Lenovo took over the company, and in today’s post, we’ll give you an in-depth Motorola Edge S review and explain why we think it’s a must-have for every smartphone lover.

While the Motorola Edge S specifications will delight regular users because it includes the world’s first snapdragon 870 processor, as well as a slew of other incomparable features that make it the rage of the moment.

To understand more about everything the Motorola Edge S has to offer, read our in-depth review.

Design and Specs

The Motorola Edge S is in a class by itself in terms of design, and you’ll see why as you read our Motorola Edge S 5G review.

To begin with, this smartphone is merely 215 grams and 9.69 millimeters thick. Unfortunately, the phone’s 6.7″ screen makes it appear bulky. To compensate, the Motorola Edge S has a 21:9 screen aspect ratio, which makes the phone more comfortable to hold.

A 1080p twin hole punch screen with a 90hz refresh rate sits on the phone’s front. Although it is unusual for the two holes to not be joined to form one oval shape, we are pleased that the design of this smartphone is flawless.

The back of this smartphone reflects purple to blue light when viewed from various angles. While the phone has a fingerprint sensor on the side, the headphone jack on the side is a bit surprising.

Furthermore, the Motorola Edge S sports a multifunction button that can be readily configured to open programs with a single touch. Furthermore, double-tapping the fingerprint sensor performs a similar function.

The downside of this phone is that it comes with a screen protector that doesn’t fit well and doesn’t completely cover the corners. We also discovered that the back cover and screen have no oleophobic layer. This means that after a couple of hours of use, the entire phone will be covered in fingerprints.

Furthermore, the top and bottom bezels appear to be a little too far away.

Motorola Edge S: Snapdragon 870 and GaRemove featured and performance

If you’re a gamer, you’ll be pleased to find that our Motorola Edge S gaming review ranks this smartphone among the best. For starters, the Antutu Benchmark gives this phone a score of 640,000, while the 3DMARK gives it a score of 4900.

While it may not be as powerful as the Snapdragon 888 in the M1 11, we are pleased with how well this smartphone runs.

PUBG ran almost flawlessly at 60 frames per second. On the other hand, despite the fact that Genshin Impact was slightly tuned for the Snapdragon 888 chip, it worked well on the Motorola Edge S.

There are very few high-performance games that will not play very effortlessly on this smartphone, with an average frame rate of 47 fps.

Camera Performance

In terms of photography performance, the Motorola Edge S camera is excellent. A 64MP main camera, a 2MP portrait depth of field lens, a 16MP ultra wide-angle lens, and a TOF lens make up the phone’s four back cameras.

The daytime camera performance of this smartphone is particularly impressive, since it not only looks beautiful but also prints fine natural colors.

With the exception of the brightness and purple fringing, the camera quality is quite good for a smartphone at this price point.

Battery Performance

Only a few smartphones will outperform the Motorola Edge S in terms of battery life, especially because it comes with a massive 5000mAh battery.

While the battery capacity of this phone is excellent, it is also highly optimized to function admirably. Watching a one-hour 1080p video via the internet on the Motorola Edge uses only 14% of the battery. On the other hand, an hour of web browsing uses only 11 percent of your time.

How much will Motorola Edge S cost?

If you’re looking for the Motorola Edge S pricing, you’ll be pleased to find that it’s only $499.99. Same phone is reasonably priced, especially when compared to similar phones in this category.
