Unlocking Accounts Scam
If your account has been permanently locked, as previously stated, there is no way to unlock it. However, there are scammers on the Internet who will advertise fake Snapchat account unlocking services, claiming to be hackers or Snapchat staff who will unlock your account for money or for free. They could contact you through various social media sites or online forums. Scammers of this nature will eventually demand payment in the form of gift cards or even PayPal. You may also be requested to pay for the service, purchase software on the dark web, or purchase an account access code. We will never ask you for money in exchange for Snapchat support.
Do not give out your username or password to anyone, including anyone purporting to provide these services Because they aren’t. These con artists may obtain your login and password and use them to gain access to your other online accounts, as well as engage in other forms of cybercrime or fraud.
The only way to unlock your account is to follow the steps outlined in the section titled “What to Do If Your Account Is Locked.”
