This is to bring to the notice of the general public that the lists of candidates shortlisted for the Nigerian Army Short Service Combatant Course(SSC) 46/2020 and Direct Short Service Commission Course(DSSC) 25/2020 are now out.

Nigerian Army SCC 46/2020 & DSSC 25/2020 Lists Of Shorted Candidates

The list can be accessed via the Nigerian Army official website.

All the successful DSSCC applicants are to report for the Direct Short Service Commission Course 25/2020 Selection Interview slated to hold at Headquarters 2 Division Nigerian Army, Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment Ibadan Oyo State from 16 November – 1 December 2019.

Whereas all SSSCC successful candidates are to report for the Short Service
Combatant Course 46/2020 Selection Interview slated to hold in 2 batches at the Nigerian Defence Academy (Old Site), Kaduna from 8 November – 7 December 2019.

Batch One 8 – 22 November 2019 includes: Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Benue, Borno, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Enugu, FCT, Gombe, Imo and Jigawa.

Batch Two 22 November – 7 December 2019 includes: Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Lagos, Nasarawa, Niger, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Plateau, Rivers, Sokoto, Taraba, Yobe and Zamfara.

How To Check Nigerian Army List of Shortlisted Applicants

To access if you’re among the list of candidates shortlisted for short service combatant course(SSSCC) 46/2020 as well as direct short service commission course(DSSCC) 25/2020 do the following:

  1. Type https://www.nigerianarmyms.ng/ in your browser and click on the enter button.
  2. On the Nigerian Army official site that displays, scroll down the page a bit and you should see: CLICK HERE TO VIEW SSC SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES and CLICK HERE TO VIEW DSSC SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES
  3. Click on the link you applied for and wait for the pdf form to load.
  4. Now, navigate to your state and you should see your name if and only if you’ve been shortlisted.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES SSC 46 2020

  1. The selection interview will be in 2 batches. Candidates in Batch 1 are to report to the venue on 8 November 2019 while those in Batch 2 are to report on 22 November 2019. Candidates are required to report at the interview venue with the
    following:
    a. Writing materials including ruler and eraser.
    b. 2 pairs of plain white short sleeve vests.
    c. 2 pairs of navy blue shorts.
    d. Canvas shoes/trainers and white socks.
    e. Toiletries.
    f. Set of cutleries including plates and drinking cups.
    g. Beddings to include, white bedspread and pillowcase.
    h. 4 copies of full-size colour photographs in standing position and in suit.
  2. The selection board will involve physical, medical and academic tests. There will also be an oral interview for all candidates.
  3. Candidates will be required to produce original and photocopies of the following:
    a. All academic/professional certificates including degree/HND, WASC/GCE
    or equivalent, testimonials, NYSC Discharge or valid Exemption Certificate as applicable in a file jacket.
    b. Valid birth certificate as endorsed by the National Population Commission, hospital, Local Government Council of birth or valid age declaration.
    c. Valid certificate of state of origin.
    d. Military Identity Card (for Service Personnel).
    e. Letter of recommendation by the commanding officer for military personnel.
    f. Letter of sponsorship in a tertiary academic institution for military personnel.
    g. Printed Bank Verification Number (BVN) certificate authenticated by a bank.
  4. Candidates will be fed and accommodated for the duration of the interview.
  5. Candidates would be responsible for their transportation to and from the interview
    venue.
  6. The use of personal/private vehicles will not be allowed throughout the duration
    of the interview.
  7. Visitors will not be allowed throughout the duration of the interview.
  8. Candidates will report at Nigerian Defence Academy (Old Site), Kaduna on the date indicated for their batch. Candidates will be received from 8 am. Candidates who arrive later than 6 pm on 8 November 2019 for batch 1 and 22 November 2019 for batch 2 will be disqualified.
  9. A high standard of discipline is expected from all candidates. Candidates could be disqualified on disciplinary grounds.

  1. Candidates are required to report at the interview venue on 16 November 2019
    with the following:
    a. Writing materials including ruler and eraser.
    b. 2 pairs of plain white short sleeve vests.
    c. 2 pairs of navy blue shorts.
    d. Canvas shoes/trainers and white socks.
    e. Toiletries.
    f. Set of cutleries including plates and drinking cups.
    g. Beddings to include white bedspread and pillowcase.
    h. 4 copies of full-size coloured photographs taken in standing position and in suit.
  2. The selection board will involve physical, medical and academic tests. There will also be an oral interview for all candidates.
  3. Candidates will be required to produce original and photocopies of the following:
    a. All academic/professional certificates including degree/HND, WASC/GCE
    or equivalent, Testimonials, First School Leaving Certificate, NYSC Discharge or valid Exemption Certificate as applicable in a file jacket.
    b. Valid birth certificate as endorsed by the National Population Commission, hospital, Local Government Council of birth or valid age declaration.
    c. Valid certificate of state of origin.
    d. Military Identity Card (for Service Personnel).
    e. Letter of recommendation by the commanding officer for military personnel.
    f. Letter of sponsorship in civil institution(s) for military personnel.
    g. Printed Bank Verification Number (BVN) certificate authenticated by a bank.
    h. Candidates who applied as Air Traffic Controllers under the Nigerian Army Aviation are to come with NCAA approved Air Traffic Control License.
  4. Candidates will be fed and accommodated for the duration of the interview.
  5. Candidates would be responsible for their transportation to and from the interview
    venue.
  6. Candidates will not be allowed to use their personal/private vehicles at the
    interview venue.
  7. Visitors will not be allowed at the interview venue.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLICANTS

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Applications are to be made online free of charge from the 14th of August 2019.

a. How to apply:

(1) Log on to WWW.NIGERIANARMYMS.NG to create an account.

(2) Read the qualification criteria.

(3) From the home page, select DSSC application.

(4) On successful registration, you will receive an email notification containing your login details.

(5) Click on ‘Login’ to complete the application form.

(6) Ensure all required documents listed below are uploaded:

(a) Passport photograph.

(b) Educational certificates.

(c) Evidence of membership of any professional body.

(d) Certificate of state of origin.

(e) Birth certificate or age declaration.

b. Print Out.

Applicants must print out their online generated photo-slip on completion of their application.

The first page is to be signed by the Registrar of Court of Law while the second page is to be signed by the applicants’ Local Government Chairman/Secretary or any military officer of the rank of Lieutenant Colonel or equivalent and above who hails from his/her state.

Successful applicants would be required to present their printed photo-slips to the selection board during the interview.
