is Messi Better than Ronaldo

7 Good Reasons Why Messi’s Better Than Ronaldo

1. Messi is technically much gifted

Fans of Ronaldo are always bringing up statistics, so here are some for you: Last year, it took Ronaldo 56 more shots than Messi to score just three goals more than him. Ronaldo appears to be shooting at every chance he gets (rather than distributing the ball to his teammates) and has scored 31 goals in 216 attempts! Messi, on the other hand, scored 28 goals in only 160 chances. Messi is also regarded as a great assist scorer, owing to the fact that Barcelona players are constantly assisting and distributing the ball. Real, on the other hand, only believes in counter-attacking and long ball.

2. Messi is much disciplined than Ronaldo

Ronaldo has been witnessed fighting on a number of times. For either of us, seeing Ronaldo receive a yellow card or be sent off was not a new experience. Ronaldo is no stranger to fouls. Although Messi has received yellow cards, he is statistically lot more disciplined than the Portuguese. In 2013-2014, Messi has the most yellow cards in a season with three. In the same year, Ronaldo had the most yellow cards in a season, with 16! In addition, Ronaldo was sent off once throughout the season. Messi has yet to be sent off, whilst Ronaldo has been sent off eight times since his career began in 2003.

3. Messi’s international record

Ronaldo used to beat Messi at this moment, as all Ronaldo fans would point out. But, as we all know, every time Ronaldo has led Portugal into the World Cup or any other competition, it has ended in failure. Ronaldo isn’t viewed as a leader by his teammates. He’s self-centered, overly dramatic, and, above all, he dives to the ground at every opportunity. Messi, on the other hand, guided his team to the World Cup finals and fought Germany valiantly. He guided the team from start to finish in the group stage- beat that Ronaldo!

4. Messi is a perpetual goal scorer

Ronaldo may be a goal scorer, but Messi prefaces it with the adjective “Perpetual.” Even in Real Madrid, where players look up to him as the #9 and #7 player of the squad (#9=poacher, #7=talented / trickster), scoring 91 goals in a single season is a feat Ronaldo can only dream of achieving. Messi has scored more goals from free kicks than Ronaldo! Messi used to play in the false 9 position under Pep Guardiola, which allowed him to be both a facilitator and a poacher!

5. Messi has more awards than Ronaldo

When you look at the accolades and distinctions these players have received for themselves or their country / club, there isn’t much to distinguish between them. Messi, on the other hand, has more gold (metaphorically speaking) than Ronaldo or any other footballer in the world. He has won four Ballon d’Or honors in a row, which is a record in and of itself. In the FIFA 2014 World Cup, Messi was named Best Player of the Tournament. He also won every prize available to a professional footballer, with the exception of the World Cup, which he came close to winning last year.

6. Ultimate Passing skills

Ronaldo may score goals with every part of his body, but he will never be able to pass the ball as accurately as Leo Messi. His passing talents are flawless, and he has nutmegged thousands of defenders with his passing ability on multiple times. It’s almost as if he knows the trajectory the ball will take if he uses a specific technique when passing. He can do it all with zero margin for mistake, whether it’s a long ball, a short pass, or just a chip, and this makes him the best counter attacking footballer at the moment, since he just doesn’t play a terrible ball and spoil the counter attack.

7. Messi is a team player

Messi embodies all of the qualities that Ronaldo lacks, one of which is selfishness. Messi is the most selfless player on the planet, and he’ll sometimes pass the ball to a teammate who is in a better position to score a goal, even though he knows he has the ability to score and end the game! Every team desires a player like this. Messi will fit in at Real Madrid, but Ronaldo will never be able to adapt to Barcelona’s style of play. While Ronaldo is capable, Messi is the greatest in this sense.
