How to Use Sky email: Settings, login & more

We’ll teach you how to get more out of your Sky email address if it’s your primary email correspondence account. This contains instructions on how to get your emails delivered directly to your smartphone, what to do if you forget your password, how to login, and how to delete your email account.

Can I sign up to Sky email?

Customers who signed up for one of Sky’s broadband plans used to get a free Sky email address using Yahoo’s platform. Unfortunately, Sky discontinued giving these away to new subscribers in October of 2018. Existing subscribers and Sky email users, on the other hand, can continue to access and utilize their accounts as usual.

Customers who want to switch to Sky but still use their broadband provider’s email accounts may find this troublesome. But don’t panic, there are many of free and simple alternative email providers available. If you are unable to obtain a Sky email account, you may obtain a free email account through one of the following:

  • Gmail by Google
  • Outlook by Microsoft
  • Yahoo Mail
  • Mail.com
  • AOL Mail

Furthermore, some broadband providers charge a monthly subscription to preserve your email even if you terminate your contract broadband connection and are no longer a customer. The following is a list of broadband providers that charge non-customers for email:

  • BT Mail
  • Plusnet

Customers with a Sky email account will also face some restrictions. You won’t be able to update your email address or add family members to your account. If you want to change your email address, sign up for one of the above services and configure your new account to receive all emails sent to your Sky account. Sky Email Login

By going to the sky.com website, you can access your Sky email account. When the page loads, you should see a little pop-up beneath the ‘Sign in’ button on the top right of the menu bar. A link to “Yahoo Mail Sign In” appears in the pop-up. To access the Sky email sign-in gateway, click the link.

If the small box doesn’t appear on your screen, you can still access Sky email using your Sky account. Click the ‘Sign in’ button on the right of the navigation bar to access the Sky account site. Log in to your email account using your Sky ID (email address or username), then pick Yahoo Mail from the drop-down menu in the top right corner of the page.

Sky Yahoo email is offered by Yahoo Mail, which is why it’s called Sky Yahoo email.

You can also go straight to the Sky Yahoo email sign-in page by clicking here. You can use your email address or your Sky username to log in. We recommend adding this page to your favorites or bookmarking it for future reference.

What if I’ve forgotten my email address or password?

You must request to regain your Sky email address if you have forgotten it. It’s simple: below the password field, click the forgotten username link. This will take you to the retrieval request screen, where you can enter your account information to generate an email address.

You’ll have to reset your Sky email password if you forget it. Begin by clicking the Forgot Password link in the email login portal’s password box. Enter your username or email address – which is used to identify you – in the relevant form on the next screen, and the characters presented to you in the box beneath it.

After that, Sky will send you an email with a link to reset your password. Answer the security questions you specified when you registered your account and input the last six digits of the bank account number used to pay for your Sky packages by clicking the link and following the instructions. After that, you’ll be able to create a new password.

Sky email settings: Connect Sky email to your phone

There is no Sky email app, unfortunately. You must adjust your phone’s email settings to connect with the required mail servers in order to receive emails addressed to your Sky email account on your smartphone. We’ll need the proper Sky email server settings for this. Don’t worry, we’ll walk you through the steps on both iPhone and Android.

First, some clarification: Imap and Pop3 protocols are used to access Sky email from your phone. You can pick which protocol to use in your phone’s email settings, but for the purposes of this guide, we’ll teach you how to access Sky email on your phone using Imap.

Imap and Pop3 are techniques of obtaining and storing email data, respectively. When it comes to accessing a single account from several devices, Imap is preferred. Because Pop3 downloads email to your device and then deletes it from the server, you may not be able to see it on other devices.

You’ll need the following mail server settings to access Sky email on any device:

Server Settings
Incoming mail server name – Imap imap.tools.sky.com
Imap port 995
Outgoing mail server name – Smtp smtp.tools.sky.com
Smtp port 587
Security SSL

How to receive emails to another account

It takes some planning to phase down your Sky email account and replace it with a free email provider like Gmail or Outlook. Setting up email forwarding and automated replies on your old Sky account, as well as updating your email address on any accounts or websites linked to your Sky email, are all part of this process.

You won’t miss a thing if you forward emails from your Sky email account to your new email. Any emails sent to your old email address will be forwarded to your new one immediately.

Anyone who sends an email to your old address will receive an automatic email notification with a message of your choice if you set up automatic replies. It’s critical that this automatic reply tells senders of your new email address and that you no longer use your Sky Yahoo Mail address as you phase down your Sky email account.
