How to set up Spectrum Voicemail

You can set up the voicemail service on your own after purchasing the Charter Spectrum phone subscription. You’ll need a phone, either your house phone or another one that is nearby. If done correctly, the procedures are quite easy to follow. Once activated, any phone can be used to check your messages.

Set Up Spectrum Voicemail from your Home Phone

To set up your voicemail from your home phone follow these steps:

  1. Dial *98 from your home phone
  2. Now enter the last for digits of your home phone number (this is going to be your pin for now)
  3. When asked, dial the permanent four-digit pin for your phone and press #, You may be asked to enter the same number again for confirmation purposes.
  4. When asked, state your Name and then press #.

You must enter your permanent PIN in order to view your voicemail messages. By using Voice Zone, you can omit this step if you’d like. Take these quick actions to avoid entering your PIN:

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. Now select the Phone Icon and you’ll be redirected to Voice Zone.
  3. Now open Voicemail Settings and select Edit.
  4. Select the Voicemail PIN settings options
  5. Now check off the box stating PIN Skip
  6. Now select Save Changes

To change your PIN:

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. Now select the Phone Icon and you’ll be redirected to Voice Zone.
  3. Now open Voicemail Settings and select Edit.
  4. Select the Voicemail PIN settings options
  5. Now select Change My Voicemail PIN and enter your new PIN
  6. Now Save the changes you made

Readable Spectrum Voicemail

Your voicemails are converted into text messages with the Readable Voicemail feature, which you may then receive by email or text message on your mobile device. These transcriptions only cover the first 45 seconds of the message, though. You’ll need to go back and listen to the messages if they are lengthier.

Use these procedures to set up legible voicemail:

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. Now select the Phone Icon and you’ll be redirected to Voice Zone.
  3. Now open Voicemail Settings and select Edit.
  4. Now Select Readable Voicemail
  5. Now check off the Transcribe my Voicemail Messages box
  6. If you want to be notified via email, then enter your email address and press add button
  7. If you wish to be notified via text message on your phone then choose your mobile service provider and enter your number and then click Add.
  8. Don’t forget to save changes.

Save Spectrum Voicemail to your computer

To save your voicemail to your computer, use the following steps:

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. Now select the Phone Icon and you’ll be redirected to Voice Zone.
  3. Now open Voicemail Settings and select Edit.
  4. Now open Voicemail Settings
  5. Select Download
  6. Now check off the audio file checkbox and click download
  7. Once the download is finished open the file and save it wherever you want on your computer.
