For awards due in the academic year 2021–2022, Iowa State undergraduate students can now apply through the OneApp scholarship portal.
Most college scholarships are held on the website OneApp. Undergraduate students can fill out a single application on the website, which will then direct them to a variety of scholarships they are eligible for.
The Office of Student Financial Aid, academic colleges and departments, and other campus units (ex: Student Affairs Central Office, Program for Women in Science and Engineering, Student Accessibility Services, etc.) will use the data present in OneApp to choose scholarship recipients, according to the Office of Financial Aid website.
The Office of Financial Aid advises students to log into their accounts as soon as possible to avoid missing any scholarship application deadlines because the dates for each scholarship vary.
There are different deadlines for each college within the institution. Here are the deadlines for colleges.
Students can save their progress in an application once they’ve launched it and return to OneApp at a later time, if necessary. Up until the deadline for application submission, they can also alter the information that appears on their application.
The student will have their access to OneApp terminated after 30 minutes of inactivity on the website. Students must manually save their applications because OneApp does not automatically save.
A Net-ID is required for new and transfer students to begin the application process.
Not all scholarships require recommendations, but some do and some do not.
Students should log back onto OneApp and finish any new recommended applications if they switch majors or universities.
After the application deadline, scholarship offers can be found in AccessPlus under the financial assistance page.
