SMS text messages still have significant purposes, even though people are gradually switching to other types of text messaging.
However, did you know that you can send a text message from a computer? Yes, you may send free SMS messages using a lot of messaging websites. For many, there is no registration procedure at all.
Here are the top websites for free text messaging to mobile devices.
1. TextEm
You can send text messages for free using TextEm, but first you must register. Even while some people might prefer to communicate anonymously, having an account has some definite advantages.
For instance, you can compile a list of regularly used contacts and receive replies into your TextEm inbox based on the recipient’s carrier. You can set up email replies if the carrier does not support TextEm responses.
There are supported more than 100 carriers from the US and Canada. It is not the service for you if you need to send a message to a phone number outside of North America.
2. SendSMSnow
Another free SMS service is SendSMSnow, however in order to use it, you must first register.
Once you create an account, you may add profile images, create a phonebook of contacts, and receive message replies in your personal inbox.
Although it is not free, SendSMSnow also offers group messaging. You will be charged one cent for each message you send to each member of the group. A single SMS sent to a group of 20 people, for instance, would cost $0.20.
The service should function with cell phone numbers from all over the world. The claims cannot be independently verified, however it is reasonable to assume that the majority of North American and European carriers will be supported.
